Loneliness and sleep: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Systematic Review

Primary finding: Across 27 studies, the evidence surrounding the relationship between social support, or loneliness, and physical activity in older adults suggests that people with greater social support for physical activity are more likely to do physical activity during leisure time, especially when the social support comes from family members. However, high variability in measurement methods used to assess both SS and PA in included studies made it difficult to compare studies.
